Once you really know who you are, you can determine if your lifestyle is really adapted to your personality. Perhaps you would feel better in a different setting.

Learn proper concentration techniques and utilize daily. Concentration is key to self-improvement and personal development, helping you to maintain in tune with those things in your life that are more important. With concentration, you are able to soak up all that you should be focusing on from day to day.

Practice assuming responsibility for your actions rather than immediately assigning blame to another party in a conflict. This forces you to hold yourself accountable for your reactions and responses. Rather than saying, "You make me so mad when you do that!" consider saying this instead: "I get very angry when you _______ because I feel that ________." This version clearly states the source of conflict and why you are reacting.

Personal growth is a learning experience. Learning new things about yourself every day or having profound experiences will change the way you look at life or yourself. Personal growth is the lesson of all lessons that will affect everything you do. Make sure you have a positive experience every day.

If you are lacking confidence in yourself, then try dressing up. If you look like a million bucks, it's more likely that you will feel more confident in yourself. What you wear helps make you feel better about your self. Dress good and feel better today.

Replace negative thoughts with ones that are more positive or balanced. Keep a journal of negative thoughts and what triggers them. When you are in a better mood, go over your journal and see if the negative thoughts you had were necessary and how you can change the way you viewed them at the time.

It is best to avoid foods and drinks made with aspartame, which is an artificial sweetener often found in diet drinks. This can prevent serotonin from forming and also cause depression, insomnia and headaches. It's especially more prone to happen to someone that is already having problems with serotonin development.

Spend more time with your family and friends. Money truly does not create happiness, it is merely a conduit for getting the necessities in life. Chasing more wealth than you need will consume you while you are healthy and reduce the amount of joy you could experience day by day through other activities. Once you have your basic necessities covered, you should seek those things that make you happy, not those that will make you more money.

With regards to personal development in the professional field, make sure that you always go beyond just what your job description says you should do.
